Storms and heavy rain in SE SA
Heat moves into NSW after a hot night farther west.

Between 3 and 9am, Whyalla recorded 31mm, Clare 35 and Nuriootpa 27mm.

The rain followed another exceptionally warm night. Marree recorded an overnight minimum of 24.6, 15.1° above normal, while Arkaroola, 150km SE, recorded 25.6, 17.6 above. In northwestern Victoria, Mildura Airport's minimum of 22.1 was 14.8 above normal, and the warmest September minimum recorded in 55 years.
