NT cold in the south, stormy in the north
Cloud cover kept temperatures exceptionally low today over central and southern parts of the NT and northwestern SA. Temperatures were between 10 and 14° below the October average over the greater part of Central Australia. In the Territory's north, a series of heavy storms during the evening produced 26.2mm in 46 minutes to 6.30pm at Batchelor and 27mm in the hour to 7.30pm at Douglas River.
