WA: First significant rain of the cool season. A front and preceding cloudband brought some heavy rain to the South West and along the South Coast during the day. Roleystone, 25km SE of Perth CBD, recorded 57.6mm for the 24 hours to 9am on the 16th, its heaviest one-day total for April in a 38-year history. Karnet topscored with 73.4mm. See downpours for heavy short-duration falls and Monday's wettest for the highest 24-hour falls.
