NSW, VIC: Bushfires continue. In NSW, firefighters are working to contain a bushfire near Legume, 75km NNE of Tenterfield, that has burnt through 200 hectares in remote country. A large fire at Raymond Terrace has been contained, but destroyed a timber transport truck and threatened houses in the town yesterday. Mopping up continues on a 15 hectare fire at Denman in the Upper Hunter that threatened properties west of the town yesterday afternoon. Numerous fires continued to burn, but were under control, on the NSW South Coast (Oulla Creek west of Moruya, Goodenia Ridge near Wyndham, Nadgee State Forest south of Eden) and Southern Tablelands (two near Big Jack Mountain, one east of Bombala, Merriangah west of Bombala, Glen Bog SF SE of Nimmitabel, and another 18km west of Adaminaby). In VIC, a 14 hectare fire near Genoa was contained yesterday and another at 10 hectares is still burning near Cape Conran.
