WA, SA: Heat moves eastwards

Maximum temperatures above 42° again covered central and most of SE WA today, with the hot airmass moving east into far SW SA. Leonora, north of Kalgoorlie, recorded the national top temperature of 45.3, while Eucla in the far SE recorded the highest variation from normal -- +16.5 with a reading of 42.1. Just over the border in SA, Nullarbor's 40.0 was 12.1 above the norm.
