WA, SA: Hot yet again across the south

Maximum temperatures in the high 30s extended from NW WA to the Great Australian Bight today as fresh northerlies brought high temperatures for late April to the southern shoreline. Remote Eyre, situated in sand dunes behind the Bight halfway between Norseman and the SA border, broke its April heat record for the second time in six days with a new high of 38.8. Eucla, close to the WA/SA border, recorded 37.2, 13.7 above normal and Ceduna SA reached 36.6 (+12.5). Adelaide's top was 30.6 (+8.2), and the heat reached east into VIC and NSW with Mildura recording 31.1 and White Cliffs 34.1.
