QLD: Cyclone Ingrid approaches Peninsula coast

The first advice from the Queensland Region Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre for TC Ingrid was issued this afternoon at 3.56pm. The category 3 cyclone was about 390km ENE of Cooktown with an estimated central pressure of 950hPa, which had deepened to 935 (category 4) by 10pm as Ingrid drifted west at 6 to 8km/h.
