NEWSBITS

Maximum temperatures reached 40C and 15 above normal across SW SA and a small part of SE WA today as northerly winds swung the hot airmass that has been building over the WA Kimberley over the region. Nullarbor Station recorded 40.0C, Oodnadatta 39.3, Marla 39.1 and Tarcoola 39.0. Ceduna's 37.9 was a sizzling 14.3 above average, while Elliston's 34.7 was 13.3 up on normal.
