WA: High temperatures and storms in the SE: Both minimum and maximum temperatures were way above the September average in the state's southeast today ahead of a trough and cool change working its way east. Minima at Balladonia, Norseman and Salmon Gums were 10 above the norm, while the maximum of 36.9 at Eyre was 16.0 above and Eucla's 35.6 was 14.4 above. A squally wind change accompanied the trough as it moved into the Goldfields and Eucla giving wind gusts of 100km/h at Forrest, 89 at Laverton and 87 at Norseman.
